Challenges of transmission expansion
On the 10th of September, CIGRE Belgium NGN partnered with CIGRE NGN Germany to host a webinar on “Bottlenecks for Transmission Network Planning”. The webinar featured Leonie Durschang and Simon Großman from IKEM, an interdisciplenary institute for Climate Protection, Energy and Mobility. They shared their expertise on the legal challenges of transmission expansion.
From the Belgian side, Jonathan Sprooten from Elia (the transmission system operator) explained his view on the technical challenges tied to network expansion.
The webinar counted more than 60 participants and featured a lively interactive discussion.
