On 16 June, the NGN had the privilege of visiting the offshore control centre of Elia Group and the headquarters of Norther (offshore wind) in Ostend.
The NGN participants learned how offshore wind generation is monitored, operated and integrated into the electricity system, and learned more about the impressive engineering behind these projects.
It was a brilliant opportunity to see how Belgium’s offshore wind development is supporting the energy transition.
